Every year the Green IT Council rewards companies and organizations who are trying to improve the environmental performance of Information Technology.  In keeping with the goals of the Council, the awards are based on energy efficient computing from the desktop to the datacenter, from hardware to software, and from the network to the virtual cloud.

The announcement took place at the Green IT & Cloud Computing Summit 2012 held on April 18, 2012 at the Sheraton Premiere in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

The summit is a great opportunity for partners, clients, customers, and industry professionals to brainstorm and discuss leading edge information technology. There were a dozen exciting speakers from the private and public sector that discussed Green IT and the future of the enterprise.

  1. I operate in the sustainable IT market as well and it’s good to see that a number of the vendors we promote are getting recognised for their contribution to the greater Green IT community. We very much like the webex product for a cost effective means of avoiding flights and travel.
